I recently went to Erfurt, Germany, where I spent ten days (Oct 1-10) with Junior Culinary Team Canada at the World Culinary Olympics. This is one of the major culinary events in the world. Not only are fifty teams competing in cooking competitions but every day chefs from all over the world participate in carving competitions, which became our favourite part of the day. We have created a short video with the best carvings of the event. You will see how amazing these creations can be, using fruit, vegetables, taro root, chocolate, sugar and in one case just flour and water.
